I hope this finds you well as we head into August! What a crazy July it has been for my family and I, we hope August settles down a bit and we can enjoy the end of summer and an easy transition into the school year. I had to go to Florida on family business and somehow I left my beloved Grayl water bottle at the airport…I guess this gives me the excuse to save up and get the titanium version so I can let you all know my thought on it. This month’s newsletter is all about evaluating where you are at on your journey and where you would like to go. I won’t spoil it but I hope my personal reflection can help you go through a similar process so you can spend your precious resources, most importantly the resource of time.
Kindest Regards,
Shawn

div>I have owned a pair of Russell South 40 Bird Hunting boots for years. I believe it would be hard to find a better boot. The boot sold today is still very similar to the one Earl Shaffer used

Thanks for your personal review, that is extremely valuable to me and my decision making process. I have been binging on reviews on them and Gokey. I am inclined towards Russells because of the construction seems to be more durable to me. For the amount of money each costs I want to make sure I am sure. Buy once, hurt once.

Glad I was able to provide some useful information. I will certainly not try to talk you out of Russell boots as I love mine. Just FYI, I have had mine a long time and they were made before the company sold, I have no knowledge about how the new owners are operating the business. My boots were constructed on a Munson last with a wide toe box. I specifically requested that and glad I did. Unfortunately I don’t believe they are using the Munson last any longer, at least that is what they have told me a few years ago.
I am equally happy with my Jim Green boots. I have never owned a pair of Gokey’s boots.
